Basic Use:
Coloration Systems Clear Stain is a clear, solvent based stain specially
designed for use on imprinted concrete substrates as well as many
other types of concrete flatwork and textured surfaces. This clear
stain allows the color and beauty of the imprinted concrete substrate
to show through with minimal discoloration. Coloration Systems Clear
Stain performs well in most climates and under various conditions.
Clear Stain provides a dry film with minimal discoloration.
Limitation: Coloration
Systems Clear Stain may be used in a limited capacity on vertical
surfaces when applied in thin coats. Heavy application on vertical
surfaces may lead to dripping and streaking. Primary design applications
are horizontal imprinted concrete surfaces. Do not over-apply. Coloration
Systems Clear Stain is designed and formulated to be applied ONLY
by licensed contractors who are trained in the field of Architectural
Concrete Paving.

Systems Clear Stain is available in five-gallon pails and fifty-five-gallon
drums. Because this is a flammable material, transportation is limited
to ground only (common carrier). See coverage guidelines below.
Materials: Coloration
Systems Clear Stain is a blend of modified acrylic polymers and organic
solvent. The solids level is 20%.

Systems Clear Stain is a stock item.
Maintenance: Use mild
detergent or degreaser. For acid washing, a dilute solution (one part
acid to twenty parts water) should be used. Clean stains immediately.
Avoid cleaning the surface with solvents.
Application: The surface
should be free of dirt, oil, grease, and all other foreign material
and allowed to dry completely. Apply Clear Stain uniformly with roller,
brush, or spray equipment. Avoid puddles and thick coats of stain.
Dry time will depend on ambient temperature and can vary from fifteen
minutes to two hours. Over application may cause slipperiness when
wet. Two thin coats are better than one thick coat. Allow between
two and four hours drying time prior to pedestrian traffic, and twenty
four hours drying time prior to vehicular traffic.
Caution: Keep out of reach of children. Avoid contact with skin and
eyes. This is a combustible product. Keep away from heat or open flame.
Vapor harmful. Use with adequate ventilation. Refer to Material Safety
Data Sheet for health and safety information.
Warranty: This product
is warranted to be of uniform quality within manufacturing tolerances.
Since control is not exercised over its use, no warranty, expressed
or implied, is made as to the effects of such use. Seller’s and manufacturer’s
obligation under this warranty shall be limited to refunding the purchase
price of that portion of the material that is proven to be defective.
VOC Content: 777 grams per liter.
Additive: Tiger’s Tongue additive may be mixed with many coatings as needed to increase skid resistance. Most coatings may be spray-applied with a pump-up sprayer. Do not breath dust particles. Consult MSDS for health and safety information.
Packaging: Tiger’s Tongue is packaged in one quart
containers. Some settling may occur during shipment.

quality within manufacturing tolerances. Since control is not exercised

Basic Use: Coloration
Systems Color Packs are one-quart containers of liquid color pigments
designed to allow successful pigmenting of architectural coatings
such as stains and sealers. In some instances, pigmented stain can
be of great assistance in achieving an even color throughout installations
that have been completed in multiple pours. Slight to moderate color
variation may be “evened out” with Coloration Systems Color Packs.
Limitation: Coloration
Systems Color Packs are designed for compatibility with many solvent
based stains and sealers. Do not exceed prescribed dosage rates. Coloration
Systems Color Packs are not intended to create a “paint” to cover
gray concrete. They are intended to create a semi-transparent mixture
to compliment and even color variations on concrete surfaces that
have been either Color Hardened or integrally colored. Color Packs
are designed and formulated to be applied ONLY by Licensed Contractors
who are trained in the field of Architectural Concrete Paving.

Application: Coloration
Systems Color Packs should be shaken well before use. Open container
and pour the material into the coating. Care should be taken not to
pour the material in such a manner that coating is splashed onto the
user. Mix with a drill and paddle for three minutes. Apply with brush,
roller or spray equipment. Best results are achieved with airless
spray equipment. Several light coats are better than one thick coat.
If very “slight” tinting is required, a portion of a Color Pack may
be added instead of a whole one. This will create more transparency
throughout the mixture and allow for minor color adjustment. Do not
over-apply. Always complete a test area before application to ensure
compatibility and acceptable performance.
